Leadership
CBS Canada is a volunteer led organization. We have a Board of Directors chaired by
Judith Alexander providing oversight and key leadership to the ministry.
The day-to-day operation of CBS is undertaken by the National Servants Team led by the National Director, Sue Demmons.
The National Servants Team includes Judy Dove as Director of Classes,
Kathy Sykes as Director of Children and Youth, and Dave Mann as Director of Information Technology.
Servant Specialists are people who serve CBS Canada in an area of expertise. They volunteer their time to assist the NST but are not members of the NST. Currently our Servant Specialists are:
- Roberta Prentice - Monthly Prayer Calendar and Devotional
Each of our classes is under the leadership of a Teaching Director who teaches the class and guides the leaders. Smaller classes may begin with just 2 trained leaders, but most of the larger CBS classes have from 4-6 leaders who have participated in our National Training weekend. These groups of leaders work together in teams to prayerfully lead and make decisions for the class. Area Directors provide guidance and oversight for each of the Teaching Directors.
CBS continues to invite new people into leadership and part of our contribution to the Christian community is the discipleship and training of new leaders. The dedication and commitment of our volunteer servant leaders is a distinctive strength of our CBS ministry.
