About Us
CBS Canada has over 20 groups studying the Bible from Victoria to Dartmouth. Our classes meet in the daytime and the evening, offering men, women, teens and children the opportunity to study God’s Word and to be transformed in the process. In CBS, we emphasize the importance of learning life changing Biblical principles that help us to live better lives.
The CBS system includes individual study at home, and on class day group discussion and Bible teaching which challenges the member to apply the truth from the passage to their life. As well, each lesson includes insightful commentary that makes the passage more understandable. Members gather weekly in small groups of 10-15 people called Core Groups where they get to know one another and explore their lessons together. We strive to ensure that each CBS member from the youngest to the oldest feels comfortable, cared for and confident as they learn about Biblical truth.
Our Leaders are drawn from different churches within the community to maintain an interdenominational quality in the classes. Leaders are trained and nurtured by other leaders to build a class atmosphere that reflects God’s loving heart to all our members.
Community Bible Study brings excellent study materials and a proven method together in a warm and caring environment. The result is a Bible study that has strengthened the faith of its members for over 25 years. Many in CBS say this ministry is one of the most important activities in their lives.
