Welcome to Community Bible Study Canada. Training
Leadership training is a priority within Community Bible Study. Our training equips men and women for Christian leadership, encourages them in their faith and teaches them the CBS method. CBS provides a weekend of training for those joining the class leadership team and asks leaders to set this time aside to prepare for a new leadership role. The goal is spiritual enrichment as well as role training.
An annual training day prepares and refreshes all leaders as they begin the class year in September. These can be small for a single class or much larger gatherings depending on the class location. Continual training takes place at the weekly Leadership Councils as the leaders meet to review their lesson and prepare for the class.
Every year a Teaching Director Conference is held to refresh and encourage our teachers in their service and commitment to the Lord. Area Directors, members of the Board and the National Servants Team are also part of this weekend away.
Beyond our training, the CBS model provides every leader with a shepherd, modeled after Jesus our Shepherd, to encourage and care them as they serve the class.
